Hi my sister has a 2012 ds3 1.6, she got the car last year from her mother in law who sadly passed away, but she's been putting up with a noise coming from the stereo, its a noise that resembles a whine, it increases with the engine as then revs increase, it happens when no audio is on, even if she turns off the centre speaker, I have seen a couple of posts on the site regarding this sort of thing, I phoned them yesterday and they said they didn't know of any issues or heard anything about it, but me being me a didn't accept that fob off.
Read a few posts about the stereo needing earthed or the cable to the back sub woofer, but am a bit lost with all the posts, to what one I should be saying to Citroen regarding it, they have told me to take it in for a diagnostic, I need to pay for it and they will refund this to me. A just don't want to let them try and fob me off with it.
Does anyone have any letters or emails of conformation of the fix that needs to be carried out. So I can show them it when I take it in on Thursday.
