  • PCV Delete on THP

I was just wondering how many of you guys have done the PCV delete on your THP. Has it managed to solve you problems with the engine? Considering doing it on mine if it seems to be working.

Would do so, were it not for concerns that I'd kiss my warranty goodbye...

Although it pains me to say it, if you really want to get rid of your THP problems, give your car to Citroen Slough.

For the bgest customer service you could ever wish for take your car to Sportif Chalfont
To get rid of your THP troubles take it to Slough

edit: its all warranty work too

If you don't mind me asking, what makes them different to the other dealers? How did they manage to fix your problems?

            Good question:

Chalfont - The staff there are second to none compared to any other garage I have ever dealt with. You will be given a courtesy car at all times (if one is available), you get regular updates on the status of your car and they seem to actually care about your custom and car. The only downside is their hands are tied on what work they can do by Citroen head office which means your repairs can take substantially longer than they need to while they twiddle their thumbs awaiting permission from Head office. they literally have to photograph everything that the gods (slough) ask to see and email it over to them.

Slough - This is head office and they can do what they want when they want with your car which means a quick turn around and all of the dirty secrets being kept from Dealerships are known here as are the ways to fix them. They are a by the numbers kind of place and there is zero emotion or concern for you or your custom, you are just a number to them but they will give you free hot drinks most importantly if you are rejecting your car, this is the place to dump it - things get done

Done it on mine... Going to change the original hose back before next service, since i'm not going to fuck my warranty up.
No worries before it and nothing since the delete, so can't realy say if it did anything.

Quick question. I have ordered the caps. Could you just fit the cap on the top connection . Leave the hose in place and cap of the end of the hose with a removable fitting (i'll probably need to manufacture something myself). Then when you need to get it serviced remove the cap and plug the hose back on. Is there a reason why this wouldn't work? Could you let me know. I think this is how I am going to handle the problem. I dont like the fact that my engine is running as a diesel. Also is the hose just a straight hose or does it contain a valve in the hose somewere? Thanks for any input.

You could do that just make sure it is caped tight to keep it clean, It is just a hose nothing in it.

Hi Guys, I recieved my pcv delete caps. So decided to manufacture so I could clip the hose onto it so I didn't need get underneath the car and I could take this out before servicing and put it back easily. I must say it was easier than I thought. I have attached a couple of photos of what it ended up like.
Took the pcv delete caps to work. What you are looking at is the pcv delete cap with a cut down 25mm hose connection superglued to the back of it so the hose clips onto it. The hose connection is one of those that you use in the garden with that black flexable pipe that you put sprinklers into. I cut it down and had to drill the inside out about 1mm so it went over rubber seal on the pcv delete cap. I had to cut the front edge down by 3mm as it was to long to the clip on section. Hope this helps someone.Click image for larger version

Any chance of getting a pic of it in the engine connected?

Heres a close up of it on. I may not even take it off for servicing as you hardly notice it is there. Click image for larger version
