Iphone Software Update causing issues with audio controls

I have recently updated my iPhone 7 to the new iOS software, and since then when playing music through the USB/iPod option the system no longer recognises what song is playing or allows me to change the song using the touch-screen controls or the controls on my steering wheel. It registers 00/00 tracks although it does still play the music.

Can anyone help with this?? I use the iPod feature on every journey so it's driving me crazy!!

Hey. I had a very similar problem with my old iPhone but I don't have the touch screen system.

I pulled the fuse that supplied the power to the system and it fixed my issue.

Would advise you try the same: Just check you don't need a radio code to use the system and find exactly which fuse supplies your entertainment system - check the back of the fuse cover in the glove box and it should show a little graphic depiction.
