Gear shifting

Hi all,

I've only had my 2011 e-HDI Dstyle a week and I'm not happy with the feel of the gear shift.

My other car has a linkage system and it feels nice and positive were as the DS3 seems vague and a bit stiffer.

Has anyone done anything with the bushing on where the cables connect to the levers to help with feel or lubed the cable?

This is the first car I've had with cable shift system so I have no experience with them.

You can change the rear engine mount bushing for a stiffer polyurethane one which will help slightly. It will make the car vibrate more though.

You could also try installing an MTech short-shifter linkage to reduce the long travel of the gear lever. Will still be a bit floppy though.

I've found a cheap cable with "pivot box" on ebay. I'm thinking of getting it and seeing if it can be modified to make the feel better.
