  • DS3 fault referred to France, any ideas on timescale???

    Hiya,

My DS3 is in for repair (problem with active city brake). The dealer and Citroen Technical have been unable to fix it. They've now had to refer the fault to a 'technical department in France'.

The dealer has had the car nine weeks and counting (they must be sick of the sight of it). I'm keen to see how much longer it might take. The dealer said they've never had a fault referred to France before so they couldn't advise how much more time this would take.

Anyone else had this kind of thing happen????

Hi and welcome to the forum. Personally I have heard of this happening once, but for a different issue and I dont know how long it eventually took, or what the outcome was. Hopefully someone else can give you more useful info than I can. Good luck and let us know what happens.

Hi, thanks for the response. Citroen have said it's a brand new fault to them and this is the only vehicle their aware of in the world with the problem. All hardware has been replaced and the fault is still present. They think they need to reprogramme software, which needs to be done in France.

Unfortunately, as they've never seen the fault before, Citroen can't give any time-scales for the repair. The leasing company have therefore cancelled the lease, so I'm not going to find out what happens to the car next.
