Crackly Radio

Anyone else had any bother with a crackly radio? It seems no matter where I am the reception is terrible. And its not the area I live in either. Was up in Glasgow yesterday and its exactly the same.

Any ideas anyone? Was thinking it might be a loose connection somewhere?

mine crackles when i start the car then it stops, does it everytime

Do you have the original aerial still on there?

I tried one of those stubby little ones - reception was shite.

If the radio is crackling the first thing to try is a aerial from another car, your local dealer should be happy to help and let you try one. If the aerial is not at fault then it is most likely the antenna base on the roof of the car that's at fault - should be covered by the warranty so speak with you dealer, it's not a big job as we have done a couple of cars in the past.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I've felt the radio reception is pretty poor in my DS3. Hopefully I can get another Aerial to try and if not can get the aerial base under warranty!
