Top Mount Orientation?

Currently doing a O/S/F spring on a DS3 but cant seem to figure out what way the top mount is meant to be orientated. I've attached a photo of the one in question.
Where is the tab meant to go? Left/Right/Front/Back side of the hole?

Also whats involved in getting it back in? Bottom ball joint off?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Im meaning during the reassembly when lifting the strut back into the car.

I found that a garage the previous owner had gone to had fitted the one on the car wrong.
