  • Coil Springs

I was looking after my Sister's Hyundai i30 for a month and she had a front coil spring go, resulting in a £340 bill to replace both on the front (I couldn't do the work for her due to a few unavoidable cirmcumstances). With her car being only 18months older than my DS3, it has sharpened my mind on what my next jobs are on my car.

So I was just wondering if anyone has had to replace any suspension parts? How old was your car? What sort of mileage they'd done? What sort of price they paid for parts? etc

My DS3 is a 12 plate petrol VTi, and has almost tipped 60k miles.

    Cheers

Moonhead is getting his springs changed soon as one has snapped I believe. He also has a VTi, not sure on mileage. I’m sure he’ll be along shortly.

I bust the front passenger side coil about 3 weeks ago.
Bought a full set of springs (a cheeky 30mm lower) for 130 quid and arranged fitment for 80 quid, pretty satisfied with that price if I'm honest.
Car is 2011 (61) with 50k on the clock.
