  • DS3 Central Locking Problem

    Hi guys.
New to the forum after buying my wife a mint 2011 DS3 in white. Hoping someone can help with my central locking problem. Basically one minute it works when you press the remote on the key and the next minute nothing. Tried a new battery in the key but that didn’t sort it.
Then went to a key specialist who tested it and said the joints on the circuit board were dry and needed mending. Worked perfectly then the same fault returned.
Took the key back and he tested it and it worked perfectly.
He seems to think the problem is with the car not the remote and seems to power down causing the central locking not to work.
    Anyone got any ideas
    Chris

Does the physical key always work or is that intermittent too?

Could try re-syncing the key? Instructions in the manual.

What about battery voltage, the battery has been known to cause all kinds of weirdness when on its way out. Test it with a multimeter when it's been sat turned off for a while. Just trying to rule out cheap options first.

              Thanks will get it tested.
Turns over no problem with no signs any battery problems

                Keys working now.
Took it to my local garage.
They changed the battery in the key and programmed it properly.
Seems to be working fine now.
