6200Km/3800Miles later, blown headgasket(?)

Was driving to work this morning when suddenly car started to hesitate on throttle... I was like "WTF", but decided to carry on since i only had abt a mile to go and i was already running late... Stopped the car, turned it off and on again and everything worked like it should and i got back on the road.
After leaving work, car was running as it should so i just checked that everything looked good under the hood and drove home. When i got home, opened the bonnet again and started to check for anything that looked out of place when i noticed some oil on top of the manifold... Bit of shouting and cursing later, i decided to reattach the pcv pipe i took out some months ago and started to remove some parts to make some room... Thats when i started to curse some more...

Here's why:


HELLO MISTER TURBO! "Bit more burned oil that i was expecting from a car under 4k miles on the clock.


Under the airbox... Some oil there (took the pic after reattaching the pcv).


This pic is taken behind the engine (camera on top of the inlet) and is clearly (?) showing where oil came through.

Turboinlet pipe was covered in creamy smudge you get when mixing coolant and engine oil.

Took the car to my local dealer and tomorrow they will get it under inspection.
Stuck with the cheapest C3 on the market while my car is being repaired.

And yes ZACK, should of bought the HDi or VTi.

First thing i did was to reattach the pipe and call citroën... Dealer was suspecting headgasket aswell. God i hope that oil didn't damage the turbo. :S

Is it possible that the presure underneath the engine head was too high because of removing the PCV pipe?

I'm pretty sure it would of blown the plug, but ofc everything is possible...

Think the plug is then still the weakest place...

Interesting phonecall...
Service: "Theres some oil on top of the engine, but car is running great(?!) and no recorded faults found."
Me:But theres pretty much oil inside the turbo, plus oil and coolant mix on the turbos inlethose and that's not "Some" oil on top of the engine."
Service: "Well start working on it next monday."

At first, they sounded like everythig was ok and i can go and collect the car... But then again, they told me yesterday that they can only check the car quickly today and they already made service plans for monday before calling me. :S


Damn that C3 is shit... first c3's looked like an old vacuumcleaner/hoover but this new one even drives like one!

New manifold and new pcv-hose... No idea of the partnumbers, but both differ compared to the old ones. Black smoke from the exhaust, but that might be because of the cleaning product they sprayd inside the pipes (ic,turboinlet,intake etc etc cleaned).

No hesitation present, but car does feel like bit underpowered on lower revs (might of been because service hadn't tightend the band holding that rubber hose from turbo outlet to engine, so).
Opened oilcap just to notice some creamy smudge inside the valvecover also, so service hasn't changed the oil, that kinda knew already, since they said theres no way antifreeze/coolant would get inside the engine or insed the valve cover( :mad: ).

Car strugled to start this morning, but that might of been because the heater was on for 2hrs and off like 30minutes after that, before we started the car.

I'm so sure that the car is everything but ok atm and I'm not planning to take her on any kind of an roadtrip, atleast not during the winter. Might have to ask citroën to provide me some sort of wintercar, because our ds3 clearly isn't working on these temperatures (from -15 to -23c this week).

How many km's you guys recon i'm able to go without the next service needed..? I'm betting something like 500-1000km. -.-
