Interior temperature cold only

Hey guys!
11plate 1.6 petrol.
I’m half way through a return trip to Birmingham and my heaters packed in! And at the wrong time of year! Lol

I’ve tried searching for a fix via the forum... but all I seem to find is a Resistor fix for the heater fans...
my fans still work
BUT my temperature control doesn’t! If anything it seems to get colder at random points!
even using the windscreen heat button doesn’t work.

anyone got any ideas?

Windscreen button will blow cold air if the car isn't warmed up yet, don't think it even blows hot air.
Anyway, sounds like the resister. They are a pain to get to but easy to replace. Buy a new one and replace it. Easy fix.

At the point of written this I had driven over 100 miles.
If the car wasn’t warm by then I’d be worried

why would the resistor prevent the turn up of temperature? Fans work. Blows cold air... jist temperature control seems broken. Could it be airblock in heater matrix
