  • seatbelt beeping when plugged in

    Anyone shed any light?
Expect its a failed connection, cable etc, and haven't looked yet- weekend job
Under seat connector, seat belt receiver take apart and look?
Realise u can Lexia tool it out- anyone got a link to the tool?

And by G, don't it get irritating, louder and louder, then off, then on again
Wife keeps lifting herself up to give us a break

Must fix, or ditch the wife

Get her to sit in the back Chris_Blue . Seriously though, it sounds like a loose wire or dodgy connection somewhere though. Or maybe a sensor? Is the seatbelt warning light on the dash too? Let us know how you get on.

^^ LOL. Can you tell her to sit in the back please

Yes, the warning light and the beep, as though it isn't plugged in, but it is
Will investigate over the weekend, but a Lexia tool would help

Right. Well, if anyone is interested:

Checked the seatbelt receiver, and wires seemed fine
Checked the pressure sensor under the seat nearest the seatbelt receiver- seemed ok
Checked the plug passenger door side underneath seat seemed fine
When checking ^ ^ noticed a cable had outer sleeving worn away, and one small cable showed bare copper and rubbing the seat frame

Checked the wiring integrity, resleeved the bare cable and taped it up.

Heavy bag of rocks in the seat and drive round the block. Hey presto, all done

        Another few quid saved

Having googled, my next steps would have been to disconnect/ reconnect all plugs, then dismantle the receiver and lubed up, removing the main spring if need be
Then, if that hadn't resolved it, may have mapped out the seatbelt warning light
