  • Missing some features on instrument cluster?

    Hi.

I read in the manual that the DS3 is supposed to tell you how many miles you can do till the next service and if the oil level is ok when you switch the key to position 2.

I'm not getting either come up on mine. Are all models supposed to have this or only certain trims? It also says it's supposed to have a blue light that comes on when the engine is cold and to avoid high revs etc till it goes off, I don't have that either. I could use the temperature gauge but I can't see that with dark panel turned on. Again, only certain trims or maybe below certain temperatures?

    Thanks

not aware of miles till the next service light- service is usually every 12 months, or a certain amount of miles (12000) but varies for different models
There may well be a warning light saying a service is due, but Ive not seen one- have on other cars

OIL light just comes up as OK on the dash when you turn on. But would suggest you look at oil level every week, and look at colour of oil on dipstick too, as an indicator

Never seen a blue light, unless the headlights are on full beam
Models for different parts of the world have slightly different aspects to them , due to country specific laws, maybe you are looking at those. Not aware of any blue light for UK spec vehicles, unless someone knows different?

Looking at handbook it says not all models have oil ok when ignition switched on. Miles to next service only shows when it's getting near to needing service , I think it only shows when it gets below about 1800 miles. As Chris_Blue said about blue light the only blue light I have seen is main beam light.

That blue temp light must be for seriously arctic conditions. Only ever seen it go red once when my car pissed all the coolant over the motorway and overheated.
