Wobbly Door Mirror

My wife's DS3 (an Orla Kiely, not that that makes any difference) has a wobbly door mirror. A bit of googling tells me that the retaining nut has come loose and I need to take the door card off and tighten it up using a deep 13mm socket. The guy in the YouTube video I found seems to be using a very long socket, longer than the ones I see online.

Has anyone had (and more importantly solved) this problem? Did you have any problem driving the retaining nut down onto the bolt?

You can buy the socket required from Halfords. If you’re going to tighten it up, it’s worth looking at adding some rubber between the mirror and the body to prevent further issues.
