My DS3 blowers when on full power are making a really loud humming noise...

Hi!
So for the past week my blowers when switched on full power is making a really loud humming sound, around this time of year I use it a lot. (Of course!)

When I put it on slow mode it isn't as loud just a small ticking noise.

I'm guessing it's the motor itself and needs replacing?

Has anyone had this issue before?

Hi Jessiesnow welcome to the club and forum. Could be the motor, but I'd get it to a garage to get checked out asap. That noise would really annoy me

Same as Funky mentioned, what age is the car? Is it under warranty because if so, it'd be worth going down that route before you pay someone to fix the issue.

Hi, so no its not under warranty however, im a HGV technician by trade so i fix most things I can myself

I was thinking it could be the motor or resistor but wasn't sure if its a common issue.

Oh and its 13 plate

It could be some untight screw. Becouse dont think the motor is 100% balanced in any car model

In my 2012 i dont hear that but the last two speed (8 total) are signfitly faster and louder.
