Hello there fellow DS3 owners,
I've lurked around the forum in the past but never posted, so thanks for help so far everyone.
I wondered if you kind people could offer some advice or knowledge on my engine code.
I own a: 2011 (61 reg) DS3 1.6 VTi 120hp Auto SA5FS9
Two months ago I had the thermostat issue, which the fix came at a nice price, now i have an orange engine light with the code: P000A camshaft position slow response.
My garage has checked the sensors by switching them around, the same fault came back and yesterday they checked the timing on the camshaft but couldn’t find any fault in the timing at all.
The car isn’t making any abnormal noises or running rough.
I make sure it's serviced on time and although I'm on 75000 miles they are mainly motorway miles.
The garage offered to change the camshaft seals for around £400 but they’re not convinced that would fix it. So they suggested just keep driving it until it starts to run rough or make some noise, that way they can maybe determine the issue at a later date rather than throwing money at it now.
Any ideas on what could be causing the P000A when the timing seems fine?
Thanks in advanced for any advice, comments and thoughts.
Dan
