  • Fault codes, what's the main problem...?

Hi all, I have a problem with my wife ds3 sport. I have scanned it with delphi software and it has come up with a few faults.

    P1385 super knock detection -intermittent
P2337 super knock detection cylinder 2 -intermittent
P2339 super knock detection cylinder 4 -intermittent
P2336 super knock detection cylinder 1 -intermittent

Also, 4BE Right brake light , short circuit to positive -permanent
4BF Left brake light , short circuit to positive -permanent.

We bought the car 3 years ago and had problems with it cutting out. The garage changed the high pressure fuel filter and the high pressure fuel pump and has been running fine sine.

Well, until this week. She said the car sounded terrible but cleared up after 5 mins. But has just this second said she was very low on petrol.... If it makes a difference...

Can anyone point me in the right direction with any of the above please?

    Thank you.

If its a petrol, it needs a walnut blasting- SPTuning Hinckley.

It is a petrol, sorry that would have helped. Its a 2012 sport version. @44k miles.

Talking to another guy who recommended a carbon clean (hydrogen) I have no experience with either... (walnut blasting).

With the carbon clean be any good?

I have cleared the codes and taken it for an italian tune on the motorway as she only does short trips with lots of start stops.

      Thanks again!

A carbon clean won't be a patch on a walnut blast!! It's the only proven way to clear all the carbon build up in the inlet valves and your THP is defo overdue one.

            Thanks for the replies!

I have now had a fault flash up as - Body Computer 40A oil level gauge- not recognised - Permanent.

It will not clear... Oil level is mid way on the dipstick.

Has anyone used PMP cars in Nuneaton? They are reasonably priced and closer to me.
