Won't start

Was running fine until it broke down yesterday. I plugged it in and got code p0336 saying crank sensor. I replaced it today and still getting the same code and a non starter. Now when I try to start it smells fuelly and sometimes some noisey when trying to start other times almost like it wants to start but doesn't.

RAC/ AA to run full diagnostic?

Does it run a reluctor ring on the flywheel? Do these commonly fail?
