Slow starting

My 14 plated 1.6 has just started turning over very slowly any ideas thanks

what makes you think starter motor

Had a few people say dirty starter motor.

possibly couple strong taps with a hammer- dont go mad

I would try battery first- even a jump start would get it turning over better
