Ds3 fuel level low faulty

Hello I'm new to here guys and I need some help I got a citreon ds3 and I topped up 30 pound of petrol it's the 1.6 petrol model 120 bhp but the petrol is still flashing saying low I've seen other threads in here to do with this but not the issue I'm having can someone give me a clue on what to do

have you given it a bit of time- light doesn't go off instantly

I've drive the car for a lil while atleast a hour and its still saying low fuel I'm wondering is it the fuel sender does it need to be changed

An hour, certainly, yes there is an issue If you have fuel in it

You could try adding a cleaning additive, but probly have to change the sensor

When u mean sensor do u mean the fuel sender unit with the float ?

yes, unless there some sort of wiring/ecu issue

Tbh this is the only visible issue but thanks for replying anyway gonna find a sender unit and fit it

Try and fill the tank completely - I don’t know if Citroen’s are like some other cars I’ve had, but the some use a computer to work out what the fuel is below half a tank...and unless you put in amount it gets confused.
