TPM warning question

TPMS warning came on, so a few questions. On the pictogram is the individual tyre identified only or will the notification appear on all wheels. My warning showed all four wheels. If it should only highlight one tyre could be a system fault rather than an actual pressure fault.

Is it a direct ie is there a sensor in the tyre valve, or is it indirect (not sure how they operate)?
