Heater blower issues

Hi Guys
Has anybody come across this issue before . Heater blower only wants to work on max setting . I know what you are thinking , it's the resistor, but i have replaced it and no change .
The strange thing is i have found that it works perfectly when the headlights are on , turn lights off ,no fan , headlights back on, fan on , every time . Any thoughts , it's driving me round the bend!

I have not had this problem with my ds3 as I only pick it up Friday but in another car I owned I had the same fault and it was the resistor . changing the electricity the car needs will give you different fan speeds or fix it . but unfortunately it will need replacing but they are easy to do only a few screws and a plug and play clip

disconnect the car battery for a minute- acts as a reset- than see where u r at
