DS3 62 Plate Sport Limp Mode / ECU Help ??

Hi Guys my Wifes DS3 Sport (62 plate) went into Limp Mode recently and error code came up was injector cylinder 3 , we replaced injector but now when she accelerates quick out of 1st gear it throws it back into limp mode and engine light stays on . also fan kicks in and feels ropey also noticed the Fuel indicator is all over the place shows say 100 miles then drops to 70 then back up to say 90 miles ? just wondering if anyone had same issues , possible ECU fault ?? What codes are you seeing now? Have you looked at the HPFP pressures?

Hi, brand new to the forum here but have view some useful posts!
my Mrs 63plate THP suffered the same symptoms 4 weeks back, EM light came on and car went into Limp Mode, fan came on and stayed on for 5mins after turning off ignition.
had car recovered to garage that carried out work on car prior purchase (timing chain replaced), they couldn't replicate the fault and no codes stored. They replaced plugs and fitted new tensioner pulley and water pump pulley as acknowledged a noise.
took receipt of the car, within 24hrs EM light back on and Limp Mode, car recovered back again.

Almost a week past of them starting and test driving before finally they replicated the fault and got a code off, indicating fuel pressure issue.

As the car has in-tank LPFP and external HPFP they need to seek approval from warranty company to replace a part but don't know which is faulty. Any advise on diagnosing one from the other? I suspect from what I have read on here that its the High Pressure Pump?

Any advise would be appreciated!

That is definitely your HPFP, its a common problem with the THP engines.

Thanks for the response DS3-NL , is there any way to prove it for the warranty company (non Citreon) so eliminate it being the Low Pressure pump?

All - I cant see there has been a Recall on this from Citroen, but has anyone actually had Citroen accept the fault and repair under manufacturer warranty?

I havent had any experience by getting the HPFP replaced under warranty, did that one myself saved me a couple hundred of euros. The code that is related to the HPFP failure is "P0087".
