Fault code P0054, HO2S Heater resistance bank 1 sensor 2

Just wondering if anyone here has had this fault code, engine light came on yesterday got my mate to use his diagnostic on it and this is the fault code that came up, just wondering if its a pricey job

That is probably a faulty sensor, you can measure the resistance of the wiring should be 8 ohm, with a reach between 7 - 9 ohm(+-10%)

A similar fault was cured on mine by replacing the downstream oxygen sensor.

Not difficult to swap - the part can be had for £30 - £90 depending on the manufacturer. In my case the local motor factor only had an expensive one in stock!
