Diesel pre-heating

The above warning lamp is not showing on the dash.I've checked the fuse F5 in the engine compartment,that's ok.Can't find any information regarding the relay.Any help appreciated in advance.

Certainly the 1.6hdi engines do not use the pre-heat unless the tempreature is well below zero. In over 10 years with this engine in my C4 I have never seen it light up

Thanks Ian,i wondered if it was temperature related.It was just that my Astra was showing the symbol for a split second,so i thought the DS might have done a similar showing.

Chris isn't it just.I joined this forum like i do with every car i own,in this particular case my son,and it just keeps going.No problems whatsoever.My daughter then took it on before buying a newer model,now my youngest son is about to take ownership.Now on the Rover forum i've clocked up over 1000 posts,just shows you.Anyway fingers crossed i won't be back until next year,thanks for reply and have a nice Christmas.
