Hello everyone, new here with an unfortunate issue on a 65 Plate DS3 1.2l THP.
At low speeds <40MPH the fan kicks in on full sporadically and shoots up an engine fault warning on the MM display. The fan and warning doesn’t last long, maybe a few seconds at a time however always comes back at lower speeds. There are no issue at motorway driving speeds.
I have reset the Body Control Module, and plugged in an OBD/2 Scanner which reports no fault codes. The engine temperature read out on the dash also seems to show no issue and gets up to running temperatures fine.
I’ve read on here and various other places that the Coolant Sensor is prone to go faulty, yet my faults don’t seem to match those that had definite faulty sensors. I’ve bought a new sensor and in the process of fitting it, however having a hard time finding it’s whereabouts!
If anyone can help with the location of the sensor, and if they have any insight on the fault I’d be very thankful! All the best, N.
