Getting access to the AC pressure sensor

Hi,

My ac decided to stop working during the hottest week of the year ... great.
Before the workshop goes berserk on my credit card, I would like to check the ac pressure sensor ... but it is quite hard to get access to, being located behind the engine.
Any tips?
