Engine fault 2012 ds3 1.6 diesel

Hi. Ive had the orange service light come on and a message on the central dash saying engine fault repair needed.
The start stop is deactivates but the car runs fine.
Ive plugged a Vdiagtool vd10 obd2 into the obd port and no codes come up. If i mess about plugging in the obd scanner then i have managed to get the fault and service light to go out but the next time I started the car the lights came back on again.
Any ideas/help greatly appreciated.

Hi sanescotty ,

In most cases you are only able to find the "Engine Light" code's. The service light popping up needs be readed out with professional equipment at a local garage which a normal OBD2 Reader can't read. Had that with my 1.6 THP a couple of weeks ago

In the RAC/AA....Give them a call. Theyre diagnostic tools are top of the range

Actually, there is a way to reset the service indicator, its on UTube somewhere

Ok so took it to a diagnostic place and they found these codes.
p1445 additive adding
p1aa2 voltage retaining device
p11aa air circuit
g1213 intersystem can
p0500 intersystem can
p11ab air circuit
p1a9c energy accumulator

what does all this mean.
Is my engine nicknacked?

When I had a lot of gobbledegook come up on the RAC code reader, it all came down to a faulty DPF sensor, and the DPF need a forced recharge

Am afraid those faults dont mean anything to me other than adding Ad blue for the DPF

Citroen will diagnose and tell you whats needed for ?130. I bit the bullet and paid it

Its a 12 plate so doesnt have adblu as far as im aware off. I was dreading it being DPF related. Sometimes, like yesterday, the fault light doesnt come on at all. But thats maybe once a week.
