Hi there,
I've had my DS3 for around 2 years now and it is an 11 reg diesel with the same clutch from new. it's got around 73,000 miles on the clock and the clutch is finally on its last legs (I basically have zero bite point now, I just have to bring the clutch up to basically disengaged and give it gas and just pray it doesn't stall). I asked my usual mechanic how much it would cost for a clutch repair and he said he couldn't do it (he's retired and can't manage a full-on clutch change anymore), but told me there was something else within the clutch system that in itself might cost somewhere around ?600 on top of whatever crazy price a new clutch might command. I personally thought it'd be crazy for Citroen to fit a clutch that could effectively write off the car in terms of economics, but I figured if I was looking for advice as to what to actually do about it, this would be the place to ask.
So any advice/suggestions or information about the clutch and repair/replacement costs would be hugely appreciated.
Cheers!
Joe.
