  • P1336, P1337 and P1340 Fault codes

    Hi all

Dreaded EML light came on earlier on my 1.6 THp 2014 and car went into limp mode.

Popped my Autel on and came up with P1336, 1337 & 1340 codes came back.

It has been a little rough on idle but I put that down to it having very little use lately due to lockdown etc.

From looking around I read that the coil pack is the first thing to try (plugs were done when got it 15 months and 8k ago)

Is that right and if so any particular coil pack make or should I go OEM?

    Thanks for reading

    Paul

So having done some further research it seems it could be the coil packs or it could be the fuel pump.
Cleared the codes and today had a drive, still lumpy on idle but no codes so done a more in depth scan using my basic Autel ODB.

I've attached shots of these and I'd appreciate if anyone wouldn't mind looking at them please and telling me if any of the following indicate which it might be as I don't have a scooby what most of it means!

Damn can't upload the pics so will have to work that out...

              Hey PaulBee ,

Here is a link to an "how to" website which can point you in the right direction. Good info there and an step by step picture guide for the prince engine's (thp). If it is the HPFP dont forget to order the high pressure tube line which goes from the pump to your fuel rail.

              Link: https://www.nomaallim.com/replace-th...fuel-pump.html

              Hope this helps you out
