Hi all,
So, for the second year in a row I have failed an MOT on emissions, and I need some help please.
Car is a 2011, 1.6 dsport THP on 75k.
Story.... Last year emissions were horrendous, and managed to solve this with a new pre cat O2 sensor and a new thermostat housing. Sailed through no problems.
This year, fails on co and lambda (95 on Lambda and 1.3 on co). Advised to use additive and thrash (she is thrashed everytime so sceptical but give it a shot) and retest shows lambda ok but co still at 1.2.
Diags show fuel pump is ok (new 2 years ago), O2 voltages seem ok they rise and fall together, intake pressure seems good as do intake temps. Car runs at between 80 and 90 degrees no matter what the load. No fault codes, decent boost pressure (11-12 psi max boost).
The only issue I can see is that it runs permanently in open loop due to low engine temps. Is this normal?
Any advice gratefully received as I am running out of ideas (except to replace the cat).
Thanks
