Scuttle area components?

Hi guys n gals,
So just had the dreaded drainage holes blockage at the front which has consequently knackered the wiper motor (which I’ve now replaced). Whilst delving into the scuttle area, I noticed 2 spongy ‘pads’ stuck to the scuttle which were absolutely soaked which is now causing misting/icing up inside the windscreen and is doing my nut in!! Any idea what these pads are/what they’re called/easy to change?!?! It must be these causing the issue, carpets/dash bone dry......
I can’t find a decent repair manual anywhere, I paid over ?20 from emanuals.com but DO NOT use them - totally wrong manual, no refund and horrendous cust serv to the point of abusive!!! Any idea where I can get one?

Afraid there is no Haynes or other manual for the DS3

This forum lobbyed for one to be drawn up as the DS3 was/is such a popular car

So annoying!
I asked my local Citroen dealer today about my above thread but even they didn’t know what the ‘pads’ are?! He even printed off a couple of pages from service box and that didn’t even show them so I’m stumped? Wish I could upload images on here but the site is very buggy even when posting text.....
