I am the owner (In South Africa) of a 2013 Citroen 1.2 DS3. I have been experiencing an electrical fault with the vehicle over the last 5 months. The car’s service light and engine light come on and the car loses all power. The car fan blows for about 4 minutes after the car has been turned off. The car has shown several diagnostic error’s which we have tried to fix in hope of solving the persistent intermittent problem. The break light switch was changed. The throttle body was replaced (secondhand part). The car battery was replaced. The accelerated pedal was checked, and ECU was finally replaced (secondhand part). Unfortunately, all attempts to fix the car has failed. The car will run fine for up to 10 days and then cut out with the error described above. The intermittent nature of the fault is making it very difficult to pinpoint the problem and losing all power when driving has been very dangerous. I have relied on resetting the ECU by turning disconnecting /reconnecting the battery.
