I have the dread temperature sensor problem again with my 1.6HDi 11 plate DS3. This must be the fourth time now since I owned it and I'm getting sick of the problem cropping up basically every two years.
Is it something I could potentially change myself, given I know the housing needs doing on this model? What below is related to the sensor and housing? I'm not much for mechanics but I'm sick of paying out ?150-?200 each time it goes.
I have no error codes showing but when idle the Stop Temp fault comes on and my turbo seems to stop working, once I'm up to a decent speed the message goes off and the gauge drops. Lats time this happened it slowly got worse until I was on the motorway and limp mode kicked in and I had to be recovered so want to avoid that situation again this time.
