Key fob issues

Recently bought a DS3, didn’t realise until after I bought it that the key is a replacement and not the original. I only have 1 key too.
so within 2 weeks of having the car, the fob has stopped working, first time the guy I bought it from re synced the key fob, but it’s happened again and I don’t want to be messaging him all time so wondered if I was able to do it myself?
I’ve seen a couple of tips on google but that didn’t work.

Rather than keep messing around, it may be best to approach citroen to reinitialize a key to your car. At least enquire about the cost,

Think i may have an original key from a previous DS3 knocking around somewhere if that helps- maybe that could be set up to match your car
