  • Replacing a parking sensor

    Hey everyone,

    Hope you're all well.

I have a faulty parking sensor and have located the faulty one.
They look to be about £20 on eBay.

The bit I'm unsure on is how to remove them. I tried to get my hand up and around the back of the diffuser trim, but can't.
Is it a bumper off job or am I missing something?

If it's one of the rear sensors that has gone, they aren't too hard to change. It was a bit fiddly but I did it on my old DS3 without jacking it up or anything. If you can get under the car, you can see up inside the rear of the bumper, then they pretty much just pop out with a screwdriver. I found a head torch helped as well.

Annoyingly, when mine went, I didn't know which one was faulty so had to go round replacing and testing each one until I found it. The front ones are a pig to get to!

Thanks for the reply. I'll see if I can get underneath it. I'll have a breath in a bit
