  • DS3 With the timing chain issue

    Hi Guys,

Im Jorge from Chile, about a week ago my car started with the Timing chain issue on cold starts, now the sound is louder. My car only has 11000 Mi.

I am not the only one with this problem right? i've seen this on Cooper 'S and 207RC/GTI. Im taking it to warranty next week, anything else that i should worry about? I am very dissapointed with this car.

Also, can anyone confirm WHEN do we have to change spark plugs ? i mean by dealer service. i've just got out of the 11.000 Milleage service but im not sure if they did it or not.

Here is a video of the issue:

    Cheers
    Jorge

I know when I had my 207 GTI a tuning guy on the 207 forum recommend for us with the THP engines to replace the spark plugs every 6k to stop them from breaking down and causing errors to come up.

An auxiliary belt pulley on mine came loose - sounded a little bit like that

It's somewhere down the rear left hand side of the engine looking at it from the front of the car - probably can be partially seen from the wheel arch

Worth checking anyway - but a job for your dealer anyway under warranty no?
