Has else experience oil appearing on the outside of your engine on the THP model?
Just noticed it today and wondered if it should be something to worry about....

If yours is a 150 then there is an Info Rapid about this which your dealer can take a look at.

Yep - that's one of the reasons mine's back in the menders next week.

It was clean as a whistle until they had it in at 18k to change the cambelt, tensioner and VVT unit.

                Sigh.

                What mileage has it done?

Spoke to the dealer. He said its Oil Sweating, more than likely from the pipe coming in from the Right side. He saids its not a major issue but they will take the gasket apart and look for a the seal break.
Fingers crossed its not a major issue.

                        Hahaha....
Apparently because the THP is a high pressure engine it is common that there are weak points where the oil 'sweats' from.... this is what the guy told me anyway. He could be talking complete bulls**t and i wouldn't have a clue

I questioned as to whether an oil catch can would sort the problem but he replied with the usual speil of warranty and that.
Surely that would void the warranty as it solving engine issues
