  • Hesitation and sudden jolt, E-HDI gas on and off

Just recently I am experiencing a hesitation on gas on and off and a jolt, in all gears, mostly noticeable in fourth and third gear. You go off the gas and you floor it, it hesitates and there's a jolt and it just accelerates like normal.

Also jolts when you lightly press the pedal. So that doesn't matter anything.

Has only been starting to act like this since a day or two. It has 17.000 kms on it and it has recently had it's first service at 15k.

    It's the 1.6 E-HDI with 92hp.

I saw someone else on the forum with the same issue and I think they never got round to what was causing it.

It also seems to dissapear when you drive the car hard and you try again, it's less noticeable/gone.

I hope to god that it's a simple fix, I don't want a car that citroen says it's normal and all characteristics of the car.....All i know is that is never reacted this way before, it should smoothly add the power, no matter how hard you floor the pedal.

    ahhh

well mine was reprogrammed and remapped and it was perfect for 220miles...

Just done 2000 miles with it like that and get an intermittent 'risk of particle filter clogging' nag on the screen. It comes and goes, but the hesitance sucks!

Dealer has had the car for a day to run around and agrees it's rubbish and all roads lead to the particle filter being at fault.... A week to order/drain/replace. Will keep you posted !
