  • Stereo problem - source not working

The source button on the stereo has stopped working, whether it is on the HU or the steering controls. It is stuck on the radio so you can't select a CD, USB, AUX or phone. Everything else seems to be working, just stuck on the radio. It was on AUX then switched to the radio without warning and won't go back.
Doesn't matter if you turn the radio off and on again or turn the car off and on again, just not doing anything.

    Any ideas?

I suppose it could go back to the dealers again, I suppose it's been to the dealers twice in the last two weeks, so might as well make it 3 out of 3.

Lol no. Radio 1 I think, not sure if it can be changed though. Seems to be an intermittent problem - tried it a few mins ago and it's working now...? Wife says it's done it to her all the way home today.

Would resetting the hifi system work maybe? I read about doing this to sort the bluetooth connection issues with the iphone. May be worth a try anyway. Here is a link to that thread.

I hit a little glitch with source button on mine- it got stuck on bluetooth and wouldn't shift. The dealer scratched their head and in the end I connected their phone via bluetooth as a new device and the system suddnely cleared and started working again- it's to do with bluetooth a2dp profiles- sometimes they just mess things up

I've had this very problem 3 times now. Each time the problem is my iPhone pairing with bluetooth causing the stereo to 'lock up' such that only radio is available and no other source. Pressing the source button on radio or stalk does nothing. I fix it by disabling bluetooth on my phone, then i turn the ignition off and leave it for 10/20 mins (go shopping or whatever) then when I return its all working again, and I then re-enable bluetooth on the iphone. I never used to have this problem with my old Windows Phone, its' only started happening since the company switched to iPhones in April this year.
