  • Unidentifable car part.

While looking under the passenger side front seat today I found this (see attached pic), it was loose just laying between the door seal and the seat slider/runner. It has various numbers etc. on it and has the Peugeot/Citroen logos on it (so it's some car part). Numbers and letters are:

    MOLETTE REFRI
    >ABS<
    9680.708277 IND 5
    X36268
    4 FA 267 13
    3
    >P/E-MD20<
    4 FA 267 12

So question is what did it fall off??

Have you tried looking under the seat on the other side?

Most likely this part doesn't relate to anything, most of the factory workers carry in their pocket extra clips, caps, etc and one may have fallen out. See this quite often with new cars.

The numbers on the back normally don't match to any part number I'm afraid.

One of the guys at work identified it - it's the aircon vent from inside the glove box (must of come out when I had to much crap in the glove box and had to semi force it open).

        I KNOW WHAT THIS IS!!

That would be your air vent cap that should be located on the inside roof of the glovebox. Have a look inside, chances are it's dropped out and down the back at some point.
