  • Waterless Coolant?

What do you think is it worthwhile in a service to upgrade to waterless coolant? No boiling water or pressurised system from water over 100 degress c and no more rust and scale which might make the water pump last longer and perhpas improve gasket life.

Only if it complies with Citroen's service specification, otherwise you can kiss goodbye your warranty.

What are they using instead? Is it compatible with the metal alloys your engine is made out of and the seals in that keep it from leaking?

no - I've got a 40 year old car that's only had water/antifreeze mix in it all that time. One water pump bearing failure, zero gasket failures connected with the water jacket
