  • lack of power?

    Hi all,

is it possible that my car doesn't have as much power as usually?
I've not been driving for about 3 days so maybe it is because of the cold,
I drove about 30 miles, It was a little better but it was already on full temperature
    for a while...
I don't have any errors but is it possible that remapped
cars get "un" remapped after a while?

    thanks for your help!

never heard of this before. very rare if it is that. only way i no of to wipe remap without using software is to disconnect battery for 30 mins which resets ecu.

Is yours chipped or remapped? If chipped, might be a faulty plugin that you're using.

I wouldn't blame your remap entirely... Mines not been so normal in this weather, getting slight juddering at low revs and the power seems to take a while to come, I'm personally blaming this cold weather and will see what's it like in a few days time or I'll be going to dealers

Cars should run at there best when cold engines breath a lot better

Maybe the diesel fuel is suffering from the the weather- diesel gets more "sticky' the colder it gets! What's the temperature overnight in Ypres Xavier?

-12 won't do the diesel fuel any good. Buy top premium fuel, and get some additive maybe? Sticky fuel will circulate through the engine and stick to surfaces much more than petrol and could take quite few miles, and fast driving to clear

Could be DPF regeneration or an issue there but I'm guessing its because you've 'chipped' it. Never heard any good stories from those things...
