  • Braking rubbing noise

Taking my car to the dealers this week brakes make a low rubbing sound when applied hard or soft. Any one got the same thing or experience?

Could be normal but they dont grind like metal on metal. Just a low rubbing sound. Been like it since i got it a month ago.

    Thanks.

How often do you drive it? I noticed mine does the same after its been sat for a week (I only use it on weekends). After a few presses of the brakes it goes away.

Mine does this after she has been sat for a bit. As Beef said, it goes away after a few presses.

Does it happen every time regardless of how long it has been not driven for?

Aha - you mean braking not breaking!
You might want to edit the thread title.

Its always done it. I drive it every day it gets slightly better as the drive goes on but is always there. Think I mite be getting paranoid lol but taking it back to dealer just to be on safe side. I've hard braked as well to get rid of rust n residue but still there. I'm a gentle braker Wen I drive. Thx for all your input.

Mine too but especially after pressure washing. But as the car is in the garage most of the time this is very rare. Was very noticeable whe parked outside my Mums house over Christmas as not used for 10 days, but soon went away

It will most likely be rust on the discs. Just give them a good thrashing & it will go away - & you'll have fun doing it!
