Been for my first service today, had the car 1 yr on Feb 14th mileage 5,757, the serviceman called me into the service area after just 1 hr & to explain that this.
This is a hole on drivers side rear on the under chassis of the car, the fuel lines where down.
this pic is where the sharp object had gone through the box section of chassis & knocking lines out & the n causing the hole.
Citroen can not fix it at Coventry, but there body shop will, but i was told to go through my Insurance, just waiting a call back to see what;s going on.

    mess ha!

Hi there, not sure what caused it. I would of heard it, as i don't have cd or radio that loud.
as for what caused the damage they are not sure, but what ever it was, It was sharp doing that amount of damage.
Just had call of Insurance they are sending an Engineer to assess the damaged.

Engineers report back, Car has now been fixed Cost £800
Engineers report states it has not been done on road or by an accident, but has been caused by car coming off a lifting device.
My car has only been lifted up when it went for it's first service. Now in talks with Citroen:mad:

HUH typical stealership telling you to claim YOUR insurance to get problem solved when it was THEM who did the damage in the first place
so unless you had protected no claims i would be thinking your insurance will now be more next year THANKS TO STEALERSHIP

They'll probably claim it was done some other time - before/on delivery - rather than at the service. Did it look like the damage was new? Were there any watermarks etc on the scraped areas & around the edge of the hole, or were they clean? If so, get some evidence and nail the b*stards.

That insurance claim will cost you if you ever want to move insurance companies. I thought my PNC would mean that my claim would leave me free & clear, but while my own insurance company didn't penalise me, other insurance companies just regarded it like any other fault claim, and bumped up their quotes.

I would have thought that if this was the case that it would have been spotted at PDI.

My feeling is that it's going to be very hard to proof fault in this case.

Yes it will be hard for the garage to get them to except the damage, but i have all the evidence i need, & if it means me taking it to court i will.
Not asking for a lot, All i want is the price of the repair back & some explaining.
The Insurance Engineers report say's it all.
As for clean cuts to chassis yes they are & the carpet where it is yellow was dry & still bright in color as you can see from the pictures.

The Battle will be hard, but isn't that what you have Legal Protection Insurance.
