Water pump caution ?

I am the owner of a ds3 thp model, had it for 2.5 years now, but haven't done a lot of miles yet..So far everything is ok no problems at all

Yesterday I've been to a local tuning shop and they guy there was asking me if there was any recall on the water pump from citroen

He told me that another guy that has a peugeot 207 gt ( i think is the same engine as the thp) had a problem with turbo and they had to replace the turbo two times, after a careful investigation they found out that the water pump was the cause and the problem causing the turbo to fail. He told me that on the 207 gt is an electric water pump and there was a factory recall for replaxcing them

Anybody heard/knows anything if this water pump is the same as the thp?

I don't know if it's the same water pump, but I've not heard of any problems with it on the THP.

I had the turbo cooling pump replaced on mine a while back, but not as part of a recall.

Know the Mini's had a recall to replace the electric pump (I believe they were catching on fire) hadn't heard anything about citroen having a recall.

I had 2 changed on my cooper s, never had any issues just bmw did them on recalls.

Thanks for that I just registered my DS3, to be fair though I did get a recall not long after buying the car direct from the dealers (I think it was brake related) so I'm sure I would have been advised anyway....
