But you can turn of ESP with button on the dash, so why use Lexia for it?

Can you have the Day Time Running Lights on when the side lights are on (i.e, when you turn the stalk switch to side lights), can you keep the DRLs on? Then when you put dipped beam on have the DRLs turn off?

      Exciting!

Because esp is turned back on automatically as soon as you go above 28mph!

esp button is only meant for snow or mud when you are stuck - so esp is turned on automatically annoyingly when over 28mph apx. Not much fun if you want a good old track day and want to drift or go round bends quicker. I can drive the car alot lot faster round bend and roundabouts with the esp turned off.... basically the esp is there is brake and reduce power at the slightly possible chance you are about to loose grip... fine if you cant drive, but useless if you can as it makes the car alot lot slower..... ;-/ so they should have had the button to turn if off all the time and then ONLY automatically turn if back on when the ignition is turned off and on....

Yes you can... you can have side lights on at the same time as the daylight running leds when the switch stalk is turned off.... when you turn the switch stalk to side lights then the led lights go out ;-/ and are still out when you have the switch stalk turned to dipped.

The other option so far as im experimenting is to have the main lights dipped on ALL the time with the leds day and night ;-) - - I am guessing the rear lights will also be on all the time - will check tomorrow...

So there are only the above two choices currently... currently.... and can be programmed via the lexia 3 - you also need the manufactures code to program the bsi which i have also. Once these settings are programmed into the ecu they are there all the time except they are overwritten when upgrading the ecu... which i can also do now .... I am hoping there is a fix in the latest ecu for my blackberry 9700 (see other post).... cheers, mark

Zack's car has been programmed to have the sidelights on with the front leds ;-) these still switch off at night if you turn the main lights on too ;-)

Thankyou Jimmy, would look into this more... I have been working on my partners van so have not done much work on the ds3 for a while... but hopefully today i can finish doing the sound system and then drive it to test a few things out.

Sounds strange why it thinks a door is open tho, or door handle pulled... will test

many thanks for the info ;-)
