  • white smoke after de-cat

    Hello everyone,

After I removed the catalytic converter of my THP I noticed it throws off white smoke when idling. It usually does it right after I turn it on and after a ride it goes away. Not quite sure if it comes back again before I turn it off after the ride. I have been keeping track of the water level and it seems stable.

Question is: does anyone have this ?

    Thanks!

White is oil, I wouldn't worry about it unless there's loads

"White smoke is caused by water and or antifreeze entering the cylinder, and the engine trying to burn it with the fuel. The white smoke is steam"

Would just be condensation. You have no cat to quickly heat the after effects of condensation from the combustion. (Its natural, honest). Rather than have a cat that gets hot quick and gets rid of it, your exhaust takes longer to warm up thus, smokes like a car on a frosty morning for a bit longer than normal. Hope you understand that
I run mine on Tesco Momentum99 petrol, woo, a mod?
