  • Fog Light Issues

    Evening all,

Got a issue with my near side front fog light.
It won't turn off at all, tried everything.
It's just always on, even when I turn the car off and lock/deadlock it.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Will it drain my battery if it's constantly on?

    Cheers!

Have you changed the bulbs from standard ? E.g have you fitted LED lights that might cause this issue ? As for the battery drain I'd say yes but I don't know if it would flatten it overnight to stop the car starting in the morning. Are you able to disconnect the light under the bumper ?

      Look at your Owners Manual.

Yeah but p214 of the manual shows owners how to remove the fog light bulbs.... As that appears to be the bulbs that are playing up I was thinking removing the permanently lit one might help ?

          Think they call it RTFM

          Remove and consult your dealer

I still wonder if this is caused by a change of bulbs, like non error free LEDs....

I have the same problem but mine is on the far side. ive not changed any bulbs since new (September 12) only way it goes off is if I disconnect the batt.

I can't remember if the DS3 has a dedicated fuse for the fog lights, but if it does you could try removing the fuse for the foglights. That is until you can get it fully repaired.

Could one of a couple of issues.

                              1.) Fault with the BSI.
                              2.) Fault at the switch.
3.) Fault of the control wire for the light.
4.) Fault on fuse board in engine bay.
