  • DS3 Key fob - I only Need the Black plastic part

The black plastic part of my Key fob has broken, Every time I turn the key in the ignition it twists the metal key out of the plastic part!! I called into Citroen Exeter today and they tell me yes it looks like a design fault but its not a warranty item so i will have to replace, quoted just shy of £200 to replace whole thing coded and everything!

All I need is the black plastic casing, my key the electronic circuit board and the chrome piece are fine..... Does anybody know a Citroen breaker or parts supplier that may have one....?

£70 on ebay gets you spare ignition as well...
Or you could contact the seller and see what he says.

How much will the coding cost if you purchase that from ebay ?

no coding required... i really only just need the black plastic part of the key fob that holds the circuit board, battery & metal key arm in place.... i was just going to swap key cover with mine then re-advertise ignition.......slightly cheaper!

Ah ok, sorry I did read that earlier before I came back to this thread.....

I guess you have already looked at super glueing the black plastic part together (keeping the glue away from the moving key part ?

sorted, thanks to Phil I have a replacement key and have successfully swapped over the plastic casing, saved myself a pretty sum.

I have a spare key electronic as I bought one of eBay got the key cut and citroen said they can't programme it... I bought off eBay for 40 I think as didn't fancy paying £200 for a key and £46 for programming !!!! So now I have a key that turns the electric on and opens the car but can't start it !!! Why do things have to be so difficult! And why can't they just re program it..... Any way the key is probably up for grabs if anyone is interested I would like my money back for what i paid
